BANGIYA ITIHAS PARISHAD
'Bangiya Itihas Parishad' is basically a Study-Circle of Some Young Ph.D. Scholars of History from some of the leading Universities in Kolkata. The Study-Circle Focus its efforts to peruse some of the fundamental and Core researches in the different aspects History of Greater Bengal & Indian Subcontinent. The School of these Young Scholars belief in a Scientific, Secular and Apolitical Approach to Study the History of People. They belief that the A Historian's Job is to Uncover the Truth. The Calcutta University based Study-Circle now become a Society Named after an Obsolete Association Which once developed by Some Leading Historians like Achariya Jadunath Sarkar, Amalesh Tripathi and Ramesh Chandra Majumdar. The Association 'Bangiya Itihas Parishad' very much active in the decade of fifties and sixties in the last century. The Association published a renowned Journal ITIHAS. The Study-Circle uses the name to preserve a Forgotten Heritage of Constructing History.
